Error messages
If the red and green LEDs are flashing after the bat-
tery has been inserted, there is a problem with the
battery or charger.
The battery is too hot or too cold. When the bat-
tery has reached its charging temperature (0
°C...40 °C), charging will begin.
If the red and green LEDs are still flashing after
a while: Remove the battery from the charger.
Check the contacts on the charger and the bat-
tery for dirt and clean if required. Insert the bat-
tery again. If the same lights flash, the battery is
faulty. Replace the battery or have it checked by
a specialist service centre.
If the same error message is displayed with
another battery, the charger is faulty. Have the
charger checked by a specialist service centre.
Advice for a long battery service life
Lithium-ion batteries do not have the known "mem-
ory effect". Nevertheless, a battery should be fully
discharged before charging it, and the charging
process should always be fully completed. If the
batteries are not used for a while, store them partly
charged in a cool place (10-25 °C).
NOTE: Reduced operating durations after
charging indicate a worn battery. The battery
must be replaced.

Maintenance and Care

m WARNING! Disconnect the mains plug before all
work. Do not use water or liquid detergents.
Cleaning
Remove dirt and dust from the casing using a
brush or a dry cloth.
Storage
Store the device in a dry and frost-free (10-25 °C)
place.
Store the battery and the device separately from
each other.

This can occur, for example, by handing it in at an
authorised collecting point for the recycling of waste
electrical and electronic equipment. Improper han-
dling of waste equipment may have negative conse-
quences for the environment and human health due
to potentially hazardous substances that are often
contained in electrical and electronic equipment. By
properly disposing of this product, you
are also contributing to the effective use of natu-
ral resources. You can obtain information on collec-
tion points for waste equipment from your municipal
administration, public waste disposal authority, an
authorised body for the disposal of waste electri-
cal and electronic equipment or your waste disposal
company.
