Ensure that all screws are tightened evenly.
Uneven tightening can result in tension in
the aluminium and cast components as well
in the brickwork and therefore lead to failure
of the attachments.
Perform the fitting work in accordance with
the applicable occupational health and safe-
ty guidelines and standards.
Safety ropes and/or safety belts fixed
to the articulated brackets may only be
removed after testing the attachment
of all components.
Check all equipment (tools, etc.) and safety
equipment for damage prior to use.
Always use suitable protective equipment
(gloves, safety boots, goggles, hearing pro-
tection, etc.).
If several persons work on the system, their
activities must be coordinated.
The fitting and service personnel must be
instructed in accordance with all safety regu-
lations.
Prior to fitting, check that all movable com-
ponents are seated securely in their bearings
and brackets.
The front profile is under great spring tensi-
on!
Crushing and shearing zones:
Crushing and shearing zones are located bet-
ween the front profile and cassette. Clothing
and/or body parts may be caught by the
system and pulled in!
Uncontrolled operation:
There is a risk of crushing when working on
the awning!
The crank of manually operated systems
must be removed and stored securely.
Sicherheitshinweise • Safety instructions
Proper use:
Use awnings for their defined purpose only,
as sun protection.
Awnings cannot be used in all weathers
and therefore must be retracted in wind or
storms as well as rain or snow.
Any changes to the system design or equip-
ment configuration require written consent
from the manufacturer.
Additional loads on the awning from atta-
ched objects or cable tensioning can cause
the awning to be damaged or crash and are
thus prohibited.
All consoles that have been delivered must
be used and also must be fitted using all of
their fixing points.
Instructions to the fitter and user:
All work (fitting, maintenance) on the system
must be carried out by qualified, trained
personnel or persons with proven techni-
cal skills that are required in the respective
country (place of installation).
This installation instruction has to be given
to the user with briefing the customer about
the awning.
The user must be given comprehensive infor-
mation on the safety and user information of
the awning. Failure to comply and incorrect
use can lead to damage to the awning and
accidents.
Once the fitting company has obtained
knowledge of the location and fitted the
awning, they explain to the user if the wind
resistance class stated by the manufacturer
has been achieved for the fitted awning.
If this is not the case, the fitting company
must document the actual wind resistance
class.
