16. Installation

KWL Hygrobox KWL HB.. EH/WW
Assembly and installation must be per-
formed in accordance with national and
local regulations. The device may only
be installed in compliance with national
installation regulations.
The unit may only be installed in frost-
free and dry rooms. The room tem-
perature must lie between +5 °C and
max. +40 °C. The unit is intended for
horizontal installation. The maximum
deviation from the horizontal position
may not exceed +/-1° and the unit must
be mounted onto a wall that can bear the
load. For the purpose of suspension, the
operational net weight of the air humidi-
fication unit must be taken into conside-
ration. The unit must not be subjected to
any kind of jolting or vibration.
The installation of the air humidifica-
tion unit may only be carried out in
rooms that have a working water drain.
Furthermore, certain safety measures
must be put into place in the room to
ensure automatic safe closure in the
case of any leakage in the water supply
leading to the HygroBox (e.g. safety
valve / water connection set). The supply
air lines of the ventilation system that
have not been installed in heated areas
(when falling below the dew point value),
must be adequately insulated, in order
to prevent the possibility of condensate
water formation.
The installation site for the air humidi-
fication unit must be easy to reach in
order to allow servicing and mainte-
nance works.

Attention! A minimum distance
of 20 cm (KWL HB 250)/ 25
cm (KWL HB 500) must be
maintained above the unit and
a minimum distance of 25 cm (KWL HB
250 und KWL HB 500) must be maintai-
ned below the unit.
When installing the ventilation ducts, it
must be ensured that no metal shavings
enter the piping system (metal shavings
create spots of corrosion in the water
tank). Once the ventilation ducts have
been cut to length and the installation
work is complete, the ventilation ducts
must be thoroughly cleaned.
In case of possible damage due to non-
compliance with this instruction, the
warranty will lapse.
Mount the wall mounting bracket hori-
zontally (max. deviation +/-1°) onto a
wall that can bear the load with fixing
screws.
Mount the air humidification unit in the
wall mounting bracket and secure the
two side screws to the unit.
