Descaling
In order not to decrease the service life of the appliance and
impair the quality of the coffee, it must be descaled at regular
intervals. The descaling interval depends on the water hardness
(we recommend precautionary descaling every 3 months).
To descale your appliance, proceed as follows:
Remove the used filter bag from the filter insert (4).

Fill the water tank (10) up to the max-mark with a mixture of

fresh water and descaling solution.
NOTE

Replace the coffee jug (5).
‹
Switch on the appliance.
‹
Wait until approximately one cup has run through and then
‹
switch off the appliance.
Allow the descaling solution to soak for approximately 15
‹
minutes and switch on the appliance again.
The descaling procedure is complete when the entire solution
‹
has run through.
NOTE

After descaling, repeat the procedure twice with fresh water to
‹
rinse the appliance.
Wash all removable parts with warm water and washing-up
‹
liquid before brewing coffee again.
NOTE
In the event of a malfunction caused by scaling, the

guarantee is invalid.
