Connecting a DVD recorder

Use a SCART cable to connect the DVD recorder to the SCART socket on the LCD TV.
Connect the other end of the SCART cable to the SCART OUT socket on the DVD recorder.
Connect an antenna cable to the antenna socket on the LCD TV and the antenna output on the DVD
recorder.
Connect an additional antenna cable between the antenna input on the DVD recorder and the antenna
socket in the wall.
Alternative
If the DVD recorder has YUV outputs (Y Pb Pr), we recommend connecting the recorder to the Y-Pb-Pr
component inputs on the LCD TV via a component cable (cinch cable green/red/blue).
Connect a stereo cinch cable (red and white jacks) to the AUDIO L – R inputs for sound transmission.
Alternative
If the DVD recorder has a HDMI output, connect a HDMI cable (not included) between the HDMI input on
the LCD TV and the HDMI output on the external appliance.

Connecting a receiver (SAT, DVB-T, decoder, etc.)

There are different options for connecting a receiver (e.g. SAT receiver, DVB-T receiver, decoder, set-top box) to
your LCD TV.
1. With a SCART cable
Use a SCART cable to connect a receiver to the SCART socket.
2. With a stereo cinch cable and a video cinch / S-video cable
Connect a video cinch cable (yellow jack) between the video input on the LCD TV and the video output
on the external appliance.
Connect a stereo-cinch cable (red and white jacks) between the audio inputs on the LCD TV and the audio
outputs on the external appliance.
Alternative
Alternatively, you can also connect an S-video cable between the S-video input on the LCD TV and the S-
video output on the external device.
Note
Do not use the S-video and video inputs at the same time to avoid interfering with the image.
3. With a component video cable (3xcinch)
If the device has YUV outputs (Y Pb Pr), we recommend connecting the device to the
inputs on the LCD TV via a component cable (cinch cable green/red/blue).
Connect a stereo cinch cable (red and white plugs) to the AUDIO L – R inputs for sound transmission.
4. With a HDMI cable
If the external device has a HDMI output, connect a HDMI cable (not included) between the HDMI input
on the LCD TV and the HDMI output on the external device.
