Connecting a DVD recorder


Use a SCART cable to connect the DVD recorder to the SCART socket on the LCD
TV.

Connect the other end of the SCART cable to the SCART OUT socket on the DVD
recorder.

Connect an aerial cable to the aerial socket on the LCD TV and the aerial output
on the DVD recorder.

Connect an additional aerial cable between the aerial input on the DVD recorder
and the aerial socket in the wall.
Alternative

If the DVD recorder has YUV outputs (Y Pb Pr), we recommend connecting the
recorder to the Y-Pb-Pr component inputs on the LCD TV via a component cable
(green/blue/red cinch cable).

Connect a stereo cinch cable (red and white plugs) to the AUDIO L – R inputs for
sound transmission.
Alternative

If the DVD recorder has an HDMI output, connect an HDMI cable (not supplied)
between the HDMI input on the LCD TV and the HDMI output on the external
appliance.
Connecting a receiver (SAT, DVB-T, decoder,
etc.)
There are different options for connecting a receiver (e.g. SAT receiver, DVB-T
receiver, decoder, set-top box) to your LCD TV.
1. With a SCART cable

Use a SCART cable to connect a receiver to the SCART socket.
2. With a stereo cinch cable and a video cinch / S-
video cable

Connect a video cinch cable (yellow jack) between the video input on the LCD TV
and the video output on the external appliance.

Connect a stereo-cinch cable (red and white jacks) between the audio inputs on
the LCD TV and the audio outputs on the external appliance.
Alternative

Alternatively, you can also connect an S-video cable between the S-video input on
the LCD TV and the S-video output on the external device.
