Lahmacun, (Turkish pizza)
Ingredients for the dough:

500 g of flour
–
1 package of dried yeast
–
1 tablespoon of salt
–
1 tablespoon of sugar
–
250 ml of lukewarm water
Ingredients for the topping:
–
300 g minced meat
–
1 onion (finely chopped)
–
2 spicy peppers (chopped)
–
2 tomatoes (chopped)
–
3 tablespoons of tomato paste
–
2 tablespoons of margarine
–
Salt, pepper and chili powder as re-
quired
Mix the flour, salt, dried yeast and sugar
and add to the lukewarm water while stirring
continuously. Process to a soft dough and
leave to rise for 40 minutes.
In the mean time, finely chop the onion and
spicy peppers for the topping, add to the
bowl together with the other ingredients and
mix well.
Roll out the dough thinly to the size of the
grill surface and spread the minced meat
evenly on top.
Lay the pizza into the lower grill plate (8)
and insert the spacer (7) into the appliance.
Put the lid (2) over the spacer (7) and bake
the pizza at medium heat.

After using
Switch off the appliance.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Remove heavy stains from a warm
but not hot grill plate with a cleaning
spatula (12).
Allow the appliance to cool down and
clean it as described in the section
Cleaning and care (page 26).

Clean the appliance as soon as it has
cooled down. Waiting too long makes
cleaning unnecessarily difficult.

Leftovers that stick to the the grill plates
can burn into the coating if not removed
correctly
