3.3 Functional description

The "Unibox T" is a wall box unit consisting of
a thermostatic valve and an automatic thermo-
stat and serves the individual room tempera-
ture control in surface heating systems.
The thermostat detects the room temperature.

The room temperature is transferred to the
control piston via the capillary. The control
piston opens or closes the thermostatic valve
according to requirements.
You can set the desired room temperature
by turning the handwheel of the automatic
thermostat.
The installation position of the "Unibox T" has
to be chosen so that the heating fluid pass-
es first through the heating circuit and then
through the valve of the "Unibox T". On its way
from the entry into the heating surface to the
"Unibox T", the heating fluid cools down.
The integrated thermostatic valve is equipped
with a presettable valve insert and thus enables
the volume flow to be accurately adapted to
the required heat demand (see chart in the
appendix) and hydronic balancing to be carried
out.
