6. Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not follow the safety
information and information on proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume
no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
a) Special safety instructions
• The grass trimmer must not be used by people under the age of 16.
• Always check the product for proper function before use. If the product
is not in good working condition, it can endanger the user.
• Do not use the product if the cutting tool is not properly secured or if
it is damaged.
• Before starting the grass trimmer, make sure that the trimmer line
does not hit stones or other hard objects.
• Always wear appropriate clothing when using the grass trimmer to
protect your head, hands and feet from injuries.
• Keep all parts of the body away from the cutting area when operating
the grass trimmer.
• Do not start the grass trimmer with its trimmer head facing upwards or
when it is not in the correct working position.
• Ensure people or animals keep a safe distance of at least 5 metres
from the running grass trimmer.
• Maintain a stable and safe posture when operating the grass trimmer.
• Do not cut against hard objects. This can cause injuries or damage
the grass trimmer.
• Use the edge of the protective cover to keep the grass trimmer away
from walls, surfaces and various sensitive objects.
