• Avoid hitting hard objects. This protects the trimmer line.
• If you are trimming around trees, bushes or lawn edges made of stone,
keep the grass trimmer with the edge trimming wheel (11) at a safe
distance. Thus these objects will not come into contact with the line.
• To trim directly on a lawn edge, you can place the edge trimming wheel on
the lawn edge and move it slowly while trimming.
• Ensure the line does not hit the stone boundary. Otherwise, this will cause
premature wear of the line.

e) Changing the line spool

If a new line spool is not available, you can instead purchase a loose line at a garden centre and wind the
line yourself: Nylon line, Ø 1.6 mm, length 3 m
In case of doubts, you are strongly advised to watch an online tutorial showing how to wind a line, or consult
a person that has the required knowledge to prevent jamming.
• Remove the rechargeable battery before changing the line spool (10).
• Clean the cutting area and spool area. Remove any dirt such as grass remains.
• Press the trimmer head cover to release the holders. Take the
spool out of the trimmer head.
• Insert the new spool. Guide the line through the line guide in the spool holder and insert the spool. Make sure that
the spool is seated correctly on the spool mechanism. Place the cover on the spool holder until it clicks into place.
• Pull out the line to the correct length. The trimmer line must reach up to the cutting blade on the protective cover.
Press the button for spool mechanism to check that it works. The line must be released a little bit each time it is
pressed.
