9. Operation

a) Check the trimmer line

• Before starting operation, check that the line length extends to the cutting blade of the protective cover (see Fig. 3).
• If this is not the case, adjust the line length accordingly. Press the button on the line spool (10) and pull out the
line at the same time. Each time the button is pressed, the spool mechanism rotates a little further so that the line
is released.
b) Inserting the rechargeable battery
Suitable rechargeable batteries and chargers are listed in chapter "1. Introduction".
• Insert the fully charged rechargeable battery in the battery holder (4) under the main handle. The rechargeable
battery must click into place.
• Close the rechargeable battery safety latch.
• The operating time depends on the rechargeable battery performance and battery charge. See chapter "14.
Technical data" for details.

c) Adjusting the grass trimmer

Adjusting the auxiliary handle

• The auxiliary handle can be adjusted as required.
• Squeeze on both sides of the handle adjustment (5) and adjust the auxiliary handle (14) up or down until it clicks
into the desired place.
• Press the button for handle angle adjustment (13) and adjust the angle of the auxiliary handle as desired.
- The angle of the auxiliary handle can be set to 0, 90 and 180 degrees.
- Make sure the handle clicks into place.
Adjusting the telescopic rod

• The length of the telescopic rod (7) can be adjusted.
• Turn the twist lock (6) of the telescopic rod clockwise.
• Pull the telescopic rod out to lengthen it or push it in to shorten it.
• Turn the telescopic rod twist lock counter-clockwise to lock it.
