ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
- DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE
- Operate this machine in dry surroundings only
- Fuse protection by a residual current operated
device (RCD) of 30mA sensitivity.
- Outlets properly installed, earthed, and tested.
- Position power supply cable so it does not inter-
fere with the work and is not damaged.
- Protect power supply cable from heat, aggres-
sive liquids and sharp edges.
- Use only rubber-jacketed extension cables of
sufficient lead cross-section (3 x 1.5mm
- The electrical system must be fitted with a mag-
netothermal protective device to safeguard all
conductors from short circuits and overload.
- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating
label matches the mains voltage before plug-
ging in the appliance.
- The appliance electrical system is equipped
with an under-voltage relay which automatically
opens the circuit if the voltage drops below
minimum set limit and inhibits automatic reset of
operating conditions when the voltage returns
to the set rated levels. If the machine stops
involuntarily, do not be alarmed. Make sure
that there has not been a voltage failure in the
electrical system
- Connect the appliance to a base with an earth
socket withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is
damaged.
- Check the state of the power cord. Damaged
or tangled cables increase the risk of electric
shock.
CROSSCUT SAW MODE
SAFETY DEVICES
- Retractable blade guard (Fig.16)
- The retractable blade guard (C1) protects
against accidental contact with the saw blade
and from chips flying about.
- The retractable blade guard must always return
automatically into its starting position when the
sawhead is lifted. When the sawhead is in the
starting position the saw blade must be covered
all around.
SAFETY LOCK (FIG.2-3)
- The safety lock (6) locks the sawhead in the up-
per position and prevents the retractable blade
guard from exposing the saw blade.
- The safety lock is released by pressing on it.
The sawhead (19) can now be lowered; when
the sawhead is lowered the retractable blade
guard is retracted, exposing the saw blade.
- After the cut is made – and the sawhead is in its
upper starting position – the retractable blade
guard is locked again by the safety lock.
SETTING UP (FIG.12 AND 13)
- DANGER! Before the machine is set up:
- Turn machine OFF,
- Unplug
- Wait until the machine has come to a complete
).

stop
- It's a must to place rip fence (4) to cover the
saw blade and secure in position, and the rip
fence must engage Switch A (8), secure in place
with the rip fence lock knob (5).
- Release lock down pin (22) and raise sawhead
fully.
- Remove the lower blade guard (14).
- Use Trigger (20) to activate the machine.

OPERATION

- Before using the machine always check to see
that the following are in proper working order
- Retractable blade guard.
- Use personal protection gear.
- Assume proper operating position
- At the front of the saw
- In front of the saw
- To the side of the line of cut
- Risk of crushing! When tilting the sawhead
assembly to the side, hold the sawhead at the
handle and keep your fingers away from the
track arm holder and out of its tilting range! Hold
at the sawhead.
- If the type of work requires, use the following:
- work support-for long stock, which would other-
wise fall off the table on completion of the cut;
- dust collector.
- Use an auxiliary fence if small cutoffs will result
when cutting.
- Always hold the work piece down on the table
and do not jam it.
- Do not attempt to stop the saw blade by pushing
the work piece against its side. Risk of injury if
the saw blade is blocked.

STANDARD CROSS CUTS

- Starting position:
- Sawhead fully raised.
- Rotating table in 0° position, the lock screw of
