mains plug.
Checking the Adjustment of the Riving
Knife (see figures
B
For safety reasons the riving knife 6 must always
be used. The riving knife avoids seizing of the
saw blade while sawing.
The adjustment is carried out at minimal cutting
depth, as described in the section "Adjusting the
Cutting Depth".

Adjusting the Cutting Depth
(see figure
)
B
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
To achieve an optimum cut, the saw blade
must not protrude the material by more
than 3 mm (maximum).
For adjusting the cutting depth loosen the clamp-
ing lever 24 and raise the saw from the base
plate 5, or lower it to the base plate, respectively.
Raise
for smaller cutting depths
Lower
for greater cutting depths
Set the desired depth on the cutting depth
scale 25.
Tighten the clamping lever 24 again.

Clamping Lever

The clamping force of the clamping lever 23 can
be readjusted.
For this, unscrew the clamping lever and set it at
least 30° offset in anticlockwise direction, then
screw on again.
Adjusting the Cutting Angle
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Loosen the winged screws 4 and 15.
It is best to place the machine on the face side of
the blade guard.
Tilt the base plate away from the machine until
the required cutting angle is adjusted on the cut-
ting angle scale 14.
Tighten the winged screws again.
Note: For mitre cutting, the cutting depth is
smaller than the value shown on the cutting depth
scale 25.
Cutting Marks
The cutting mark 0° ( 18) indicates the position of
the saw blade for right-angled cuts.
The cutting mark 45° ( 17) indicates the position
of the saw blade for 45° cuts.
Both cutting marks include the width of the saw
blade. Always guide the saw blade off of the
drawn-up cutting line so that the required meas-
ure is not reduced by the width of the saw blade.
For this, choose the corresponding notch side of
the cutting mark 0° ( 18) or 45° ( 17) as shown in
the illustration.
Note: It is best to carry out a trial cut.
