5 Setup

Rack installation

Install the unit on a plane surface or in your rack. For 19" (483 mm) rack installation, slightly more than 1 unit
is required. When mounting the unit into the rack, please make sure that there is enough space around the
device so that the heated air can be passed on. Steady overheating will damage your receiver. You can fix
the unit with four screws M6 in the rack.

Making the Connections

Danger to Life!
High voltage at terminals when using PA systems. Installation by skilled personnel only! Turn off receiver
before connecting.
1)
Four audio units with line level (e.g. CD player, tuner, mixer) can be connected to the stereo RCA jacks LINE
INPUT 1 to 4. Always connect the left channel to the white jack and the right channel to the red jack.
2)
An additional audio unit with line level can be connected to the 3.5 mm jack on the front panel (e.g. MP3
player, smartphone notebook). The radio will be muted when this jack is connected.
3)
Use the MIC IN jack to connect a dynamic microphone via an XLR or 6.3 mm jack plug.
4)
In stereo mode, the receiver can operate two speakers or two speaker groups. The receiver is able to deliver
2 x 460 watts for 4 Ω speakers and 2 x 240 watts for 8 Ω speakers. Use the red terminals (positive contact)
and black terminals (negative contact) for connecting the speakers.
For double output power it is possible to switch over to bridge mode and operate one speaker or one speaker
group. In this case, use the two red terminals for the connection.
Always use sufficiently dimensioned cables (min. 2.5 mm²). When interconnecting several speakers, it is
especially important to consider the correct connection to positive and negative contacts and that the
minimum total impedance is 4 Ω for stereo and 8 Ω for bridge operation. Please refer to skilled personnel if
you are not familiar with the connection of several speakers.
5)
Alternatively, it is possible to operate one 100V PA speaker or speaker group with 260 watts. In this case,
use the two red terminals for the connection.
6)
For connection to units with line level (e.g. recording unit or additional amplifier) the stereo RCA output
OUTPUT can be used.
7)
Finally connect the receiver to a mains outlet with the mains cable.

Inserting Batteries into the Remote Control

1) For operation, the remote control requires two 1.5 V AAA batteries. Remove the cover of the battery
compartment and insert two batteries as indicated in the compartment. Close the battery cover again.
2) If the range of the remote control decreases, replace the batteries.
3) If the device is not used for a longer period, please remove the batteries to prevent damage in case of
battery leakage.
