WARNING
• Never leave the child unattended.
• Any change or addition to the device without the proper au-
thorisation of JANÉ can seriously affect the safety of the re-
straining system.
• Failing to follow the instructions for the proper use of the re-
straining system closely may endanger the safety of the child.
• This safety device cannot be used without its upholstery, or
with its original upholstery replaced, as the original forms an
integral part of the safety characteristics of the system.
• Ensure that the seat has been positioned correctly.
• Make sure that the safety seat and the vehicle seat belt have not
got caught between fold-down seats or doors.
• DO NOT use the seat in the front-facing position for babies un-
der 9 kg.
• Not threading the belts as shown in the instructions may be ex-
tremely counterproductive and dangerous.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Keep this instruction manual for future reference. Always store it in
the compartment behind the base.
• Ensure that any luggage or other objects inside the car that may
cause damage in the event of an accident are properly secured
or protected.
• The PROTECT seat should be properly secured using the seat belt
even when it is not being used as, in the event of an accident, it may
be dislodged and cause injury to the occupants of the car.
• Remember not to use the PROTECT seat in cars with front airbags
unless they can be disconnected or deactivated, which you should
check with the car manufacturer or salesman.
• Ensure that the PROTECT seat does not get caught between the
reclining seats or by the car doors.
