VERY IMPORTANT: TO BE READ IM-

• The KeyFit Base is to be used exclu-
sively with the KeyFit child car seat
approved for Group 0+ (0 -13 kg).
The KeyFit child car seat compatible
with the KeyFit Base carries a label
on each side indicating the same.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. This base is NOT a child restraint de-
vice. It can only be used to transport
children by car when it is installed
together with the KeyFit child car
seat (homologation number E24
04440001), a "Universal" child re-
straint device approved to ECE Regula-
tion R44/04 standards and compatible
with most, but not all car seats.
2. A correct fit is likely if the vehicle
manufacturer has declared that the
vehicle is capable of accepting a "Uni-
versal" child restraint device for this
age group.
3. This child restraint device has been
classified as "Universal" under more
stringent conditions than those that
were applied to earlier designs which
do not display this notice.
4. It is only suitable if the vehicle is fitted
with a 3-point static or 3-point retrac-
tor safety belts approved to UN/ECE
Regulation No.16, or other equivalent
standards.
5. If in doubt, consult either the child
restraint device manufacturer or your
retailer.

WARNINGS
• Read these instructions carefully be-
fore fitting and installing the prod-
uct. The product must not be used
by anybody who has not read these
instructions.
• WARNING! According to car accident
statistics, the rear seats of a vehicle are
generally safer than the front seat: it
is therefore recommended to install
the base and the child car seat on the
rear seats of the car.
• WARNING! SERIOUS DANGER!
Never use this child car seat installed
on front vehicle seats fitted with front
airbags. The Base and Child Car Seat
can only be installed on a front vehicle
seat if the front airbag has been disa-
bled: check with the car manufacturer
or the relative user manual for instruc-
tions on how to disable the airbag. It
is always recommended to slide the
vehicle seat as far back as possible,
