5 - BATTERY OPERATION

The ALPHA Digital Torque Tester is powered using NiMh batteries for long battery life. The battery pack should last up to
10 hours with normal use and maximum charge. When the battery charge falls to a point where it requires a charge, a low battery
icon will appear on the display as shown below.

When the battery icon appears, the unit should be connected to the external AC adapter to charge the batteries. The torque
readings may become inaccurate when the unit is used with a low battery. Charging time is 4 hours minimum, but the unit may
be used while charging.
If the batteries become critically low, the unit will shut itself off.
UNIVERSAL CHARGER/ADAPTER
The unit is supplied with a universal multivoltage charger 110-230 Volts.

6 - SLEEP MODE

If no torque operations are performed for 10 minutes, the unit will go into sleep mode to conserve battery life and display
"SLEEP" on the display. Press any key to wake the unit from sleep mode.
