Then you can read the reference pressure from your
■
reference instrument (for example from the manoport of the
E3905 hand-held pressure measuring instrument).
Since small amounts of air are always compressed in the system
together with the medium, the test pressure that has been
generated first drops off slightly. After this it must be readjusted.
A longer waiting time before stable operating conditions are reached
should be expected at higher pressures than at lower pressures.
4.1.2 Reducing the Pressure
Turning the spindle (2) counterclockwise reduces the test pressure
■
To make fine adjustments to the initial pressure setting, screw
■
the fine adjustment valve (9) in or out.
Once the spindle (2) is in the extreme position on the front flange
■
(4) and the reference instrument and test specimen indicate
"Zero", the pressure measuring instruments can be disconnected.
Do not disconnect the reference instrument or test specimen
until the pressure in the manual spindle pump has been
completely released.
4.2 Handling the C1361
The maximum permissible pressure for the C1361 is 1000 bar.
Higher pressures may damage the pump. The reference
instrument, test specimen and any connecting tubes that are
used must not be subjected to pressures above the maximum
permissible level.
4.2.1 Increasing the Pressure
Turning the star handle (1) clockwise first moves the piston in
■
the low-pressure cylinder (5a) in the direction of the rear flange
(6) (up to max. 250 bar).
