Test pumps/Handspindelpumpen
Test
C1360 / C1361
C1360 and HD 1000
6
For the C1361, follow the same procedure with the high-
pressure piston (5b). As you do so, the low-pressure piston (5a)
must remain screwed out as far as it will go.
Connect the reference instrument (for example hand-held
■
pressure measuring instrument E3905) onto the side test
connection (8) of the pump (please note measuring range!)
Connect a test specimen to one of the pump's test connections (7).
■
We recommend the use of quick seals (see item 8 order data /
accessories) to make the seal between the test specimens and the
test connections. These seals allow the test specimens to be
mounted without using a spanner. For leak-proof connections up
to 1000 bar, finger-tight fastening of these connections is
sufficient.
4. Operation of the manual spindle pump
4.1 Handling the C1360
The maximum permissible pressure for the C1360 is 250 bar.
Higher pressures may damage the pump. The reference
instrument, test specimen and any connecting tubes that are
used must not be subjected to pressures above the maximum
permissible level.
4.1.1 Increasing the Pressure
Turning the star handle (1) clockwise moves the piston in the
■
low-pressure cylinder in the direction of the rear flange (6). This
compresses the filling medium. The result is a pressure reading
or an electrical pressure signal for the reference instrument and
the test specimen.
Rotate clockwise until you have almost reached the required
■
pressure.
To make fine adjustments to the initial pressure setting, screw
■
the fine adjustment valve (9) in or out.
