Application
Can be used in conjunction with: Pressurised storage
heaters, thermally and hydraulically controlled
instantaneous heaters. Operation with low-pressure
displacement water heaters is not possible.
Specifications
• Flow pressure
• Operating pressure
• Test pressure
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure reducer.
Avoid major pressure differences between cold and hot
water supply.
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure:
• Temperature
Hot water inlet:
Recommended:
• Water connection
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly!
Wall mounting
Install S-unions and screw-mount the mixer, see fold-out
page III, Fig. [1].
Refer to the dimensional drawings on fold-out page I.
1. Install the S-unions and sleeve, preassembled with the
escutcheon.
2. Screw-mount the mixer.
3. Push the sleeve with escutcheon onto the union nut.
4. Screw the escutcheon flush against the wall.
The cold-water supply must be connected on the right and
the hot-water supply on the left.
The projection can be increased by 30mm with an exten-
sion (46 238), see replacement parts, fold-out page II.
Open hot and cold-water supply and check
connections for leakage!
Check fitting for correct operation, see Fig. [2].
Caution
Do not lift the lever, the security mixer opens by turning the
lever.
The water temperatur increses on turning from left to right
from cold- through mixed- to hot water.

Temperature limiter
On delivery, the temperature limiter (fitted as standard) is
inoperative.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4. Remove temperature limiter (A) and,
depending on the maximum temperature required, turn
clockwise (to reduce temperature) and refit,
see Fig. [3] and [4].
Flow rate limiter
This fitting is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an
max. 10 bar
infinitely individual variable reduction in the flow rate. The
16 bar
highest possible flow rate is set by the factory before
despatch.
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with
hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is not
recommended.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4, Figs. [3] and [5].
Mounting of lever, see Fig. [6].
After setting of flow and temperature the lever is replaced
cold - right
relative to the marking A on the cartrige. The lever will be
hot - left
positioned in such a way that the fixing screw (D) is
screwed against the face marked A.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and
grease with special grease (order no. 18 012).
Shut off the hot and cold water supply!
I. Replacing the cartridge, see Fig. [3].
1. Turn lever (B) left (mixer closed).
2. Lever out plug (C).
3. Loosen set screw (D) with 4mm socket spanner.
4. Pull off lever (B).
5. Pull off temperature limiter (A).
6. Remove screws (G) and detach complete cartridge (H).
7. Change the complete cartridge (H).
Observe the correct installation position.
Make sure that the cartridge seals engage in the
grooves on the housing. Fit screws (G) and tighten
evenly and alternately.
II. Remove non-return valve, see fold-out page II.
Remove non-return valve (08 565).
III.Unscrew and clean flow straightener (13 960), see
fold-out page II.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts, see fold-out page II ( * = special
accessories).
