Changing the bulbs in the cooling
compartment and freezer compartment
1. Switch the appliance off using the on/off button.
2. Unplug the appliance from the mains or switch off
the circuit breaker.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Change the bulb (replacement bulb: 220-240 V
alternating current, E14 socket, see faulty light for
the wattage).
5. Refit the cover.

Tips for saving energy

Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room.

The appliance should not be placed in direct
sunlight or close to a heat source (e.g. heating
elements, cooker).
Use an insulating plate if necessary.

Never block the appliance's ventilation openings.
n
Allow warm food and drinks to cool before placing
n
them in the appliance.
Place frozen food in the cooling compartment to
n
thaw. Use the low temperature of the frozen food to
cool down food.
Open the appliance door for as little time as
n
possible.
Make sure that the freezer compartment door is
n
always closed.
If available: Fit wall spacers in order to achieve the
n
energy consumption that is declared for the
appliance (see chapter "Positioning the appliance",
section "Ventilation"). A reduced wall clearance
does not restrict the function of the appliance. The
energy consumption may change slightly.

Operating noises

Quite normal noises
Humming – Motors are running (e.g. refrigeration unit,
fan).
Bubbling, whirring or gurgling noises – Refrigerant is
flowing through the pipes or water is flowing into the
ice maker.
Clicking – Motors, switches or solenoid valves are
switching on/off.
Clattering – Ice cubes that are ready are falling into
the ice cube container.

Preventing noises

The appliance is not level
Align the appliance using a spirit level. Use the
height‐adjustable feet or place packing underneath
them.
The appliance is not free‐standing
Please move the appliance away from adjacent units
or appliances.
Containers or shelves are wobbling or sticking
Please check the removable parts and, if required,
reinsert them.
Receptacles are touching each other
Please move bottles or receptacles away from each
other.
