Belt tension
Proper belt tension is key to optimal performance.
If the belt is too tight, it can cause drag and damage the
hub. If the belt is too loose, the belt can skip teeth and
slip. If you notice either one of those two, the belt tension
should be improved. Contact your dealer in this case to get
the belt checked.
Replacing the belt
The Gates CDX belts are known for their excellent
durability. If the belt is properly installed and used, the
belt can last up to 25.000 km without maintenance or
replacement. Your dealer can inspect the belt during a
regular maintenance check to see whether your belt or
cogs are wearing and need to be replaced. In case any
tooth are broken off the belt, please contact your dealer
directly.
It is important to properly align the belt. If
the alignment is not perfect, the belt can
wear more quickly and cause noise. The

belt can not be pried or pushed of the
chainwheel like regular chains. Only let an
accredited dealer service your belt drive.

Rear carrier

Your QWIC Performance bicycle is equipped with a
compactly designed rear carrier. The carrier is approved
for loads up to 25 kg despite the small carrier surface, and
is suitable for most bicycle bags and baskets, by means of
the MIK system. Please note that that the rear carrier is not
suitable for child seats.
