DIRECTIONS FOR USE
• Sterilize before using. Refer to the Infection Control Procedures.
• Copious water flow, at least 35ml per minute, should always be
maintained when using Diamondcoat inserts.
• Ensure water reaches diamond-coated tip prior to use.
• It is recommended that periodic evacuation and brief air
drying of the site be carried out to assess the progress of
a given procedure.
• Clinical experience should guide the operator to determine the best
power adjustment for a particular procedure. Most procedures will
be effectively accomplished with a Medium power setting however,
the full range of system power from low to high can be used.
• Use a smooth, continuous motion and light contact with the
Diamondcoat inserts. Heavy pressure should never be used.
Excessive pressure may result in possible soft tissue or tooth

surface damage and excessive wear of the diamond coating.

day of year), Frequency, Description, Lot Number.
O-RING REPLACEMENT
Before placing into the handpiece, performing the following
steps will increase the o-ring life on the Diamondcoat inserts:
• Fill entire handpiece with water
• Lubricate o-ring (black rubber material) with water.
• Gently twist the insert down into the handpiece until the insert
is fully seated in place.
