Tool / battery protection system
T h e tool is e q uippe d w it h a tool / batter y prote c tion s y s-
tem. T h is s y stem automati c all y c uts o f f po w er to t h e
motor to e x ten d tool an d batter y li f e. T h e tool w ill auto-
mati c all y stop d uring operation i f t h e tool or batter y is
pla c e d un d er one o f t h e f ollo w ing c on d itions :
Overload protection
W h en t h e batter y is operate d in a manner t h at c auses
it to d ra w an abnormall y h ig h c urrent, t h e tool auto-
mati c all y stops an d t h e c orrespon d ing error number is
d ispla y e d on t h e d ispla y panel. I n t h is situation, turn t h e
tool o f f an d stop t h e appli c ation t h at c ause d t h e tool to
be c ome o v erloa d e d . T h en turn t h e tool on to restart.
Overheat protection
W h en t h e tool or batter y is o v er h eate d , t h e tool stops
automati c all y an d t h e c orrespon d ing error number is
d ispla y e d on t h e d ispla y panel. I n t h is c ase, let t h e tool
an d batter y c ool be f ore turning t h e tool on again.
Overdischarge protection
W h en t h e batter y c apa c it y is not enoug h , t h e tool stops
automati c all y an d t h e c orrespon d ing error number is
d ispla y e d on t h e d ispla y panel. I n t h is c ase, remo v e t h e
batter y f rom t h e tool an d c h arge t h e batter y .
Main power switch
CAUTION:
W hen you turn the power on, never
bring your limbs or face close to the binding or
rotating parts of the tool tip. O t h er w ise, y ou ma y
be injured.
CAUTION:
W hen the power is turned on,
never touch the binding or rotating parts of the
tool tip. Otherwise, you may be injured.
CAUTION:
Before inserting the battery car-
tridge, be sure to release your fingers from the
switch trigger and lock the trigger. I f y ou insert
t h e batter y c artri d ge w h ile t h e s w it c h trigger is being
pulle d , it ma y c ause an a c c i d ent i f t h e w ire t y ing
pro c ess is a c c i d entall y c arrie d out.

tool to adjust its initial position, it operates temporarily.
When adjustment has completed, the tool stops auto-
mati c all y . W h en y ou press t h e po w er button again, t h e
po w er turns o f f an d t h e t y ing mo d e lamp goes out.

NOTE: T o restart t h e tool, turn t h e po w er on again.

Switch action
WARNING:

the " OFF " position when released.

depress the trigger-lock button from

Tying strength setting
CAUTION:
Be sure to lock the trigger before
starting the adjustment. W hen you turn the power
on, never bring your limbs or face close to the
binding or rotating parts of the tool tip. O t h er w ise,
you may be injured.

ou can set the tying strength by adjusting the tying
strength adjusting button. Tying strength is shown on
t h e d ispla y panel.

I f t h e w ire is broken o f f , t y ing strengt h w ill be lost. A f ter
t y ing, c h e c k t h e t w iste d portion f or breakage.
If the wire is broken off, adjust the tying strength using the
tying strength adjusting button, and tie the rebars again.
Remaining battery notification
W h en t h e batter y v oltage d rops belo w t h e re q uire d le v el,
t h e tool w ill stop operating, an error tone w ill soun d , an d
t h e number " 4 " w ill appear on t h e d ispla y panel. T h e error
tone w ill c ontinue to soun d until t h e po w er is turne d o f f .
NOTE: I f t h e ambient temperature is e x tremel y lo w ,
t h e error tone ma y soun d e v en w h en t h e batter y
contains sufficient power.
