22. FM Stereo/Mono - FM

Your radio plays programmes in stereo (via headphones) if the receive signal is strong enough. For a weaker
signal, playback in stereo loses quality.
In this case, it may be of benefit to switch radio reception to mono to keep out interference noise.
(1) Push the ON/OFF button to switch on the radio.
(2) Select an FM station as described.
(3) Keep the INFO button pushed until the bottom line shows „Mono Override".
(4) Push the SELECT button to call the setting menu. The bottom line shows „Override Off" when the radio is
in auto stereo mode. Use the frequency buttons to switch to mono mode. With this setting activated, the
radio will play the current station in mono, no matter if on the headphones or the speakers.
Mono mode is a temporary setting and applies for the currently set station only. The setting is deleted
automatically when another station is set.
(5) If you want to switch off mono mode for the currently set station again, keep the button INFO pushed until
the bottom line of the display shows „Mono Override". Push the SELECT button to call the mono menu. The
bottom line shows „Override On" when the radio was set to mono.
(6) Push the SELECT button to switch off mono mode. The radio then plays the set station in stereo via the
headphones if the signal is strong enough.
