 You can now control MIDI-software, play CDs and connect USB-storage, loaded with MP3 and WAV
files.

SETUP MENU

For maximum flexibility this unit is highly customizable. Therefore a lot of parameters can be set via the
setup menu. To be able to enter the setup menu, the player should NOT be in MIDI mode.
 To enter the SETUP menu, press the ENTER button (17) for about 3seconds.
 Use the FOLDER knob (18) to browse the different menu options.
 Use the TRACK knob (19) to browse the sub menus (if any)
 Use the JOG WHEEL (24) to change the settings (parameters) of the selected menu option.
 To save your settings: choose menu option G (EXIT & SAVE) and press the TRACK knob (19) 
1. JOGlight: you can adapt the look of the jog wheel light.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 23 possibilities.
2. Sensitivity: you can change the sensitivity of the tactile jog wheel to optimize the jog wheel performance.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 41 possibilities:
o ADJ. = 0:
neutral setting (default setting, OK in most cases)
o ADJ. = -20:
lowest sensitivity
o ADJ. = +20: highest sensitivity
3. Pitch BEND: you can change the impact of the PITCH BEND buttons (31).
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 101 possibilities:
o Pitch Range: (default setting) the maximum impact of the pitch bend buttons is limited to
the pitch range selected with the TEMPO RANGE button (29).
o +/-1%  +/-100%: select a fixed %-impact for the pitch bend buttons.
4. Line Setup: you can configure how the two text lines show information that is longer than 10 characters.
For both text lines you can choose 3 different modes + some extra fine-tuning:
 There are 4 submenus: turn the TRACK knob (19) to select a submenu.
o Submenu 1 - L1 Mode:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 L1 Mode = 1: text line scrolls and waits for a certain time before scrolling
starts again. You can set the waiting time in submenu3.
 L1 Mode = 2: text line scrolls only one time, then stops.
 L1 Mode = 3: text line scrolls continuously.
o Submenu 2 – L2 Mode:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 L2 Mode = 1: text line scrolls and waits for a certain time before scrolling
starts again. You can set the waiting time in submenu3.
 L2 Mode = 2: text line scrolls only one time, then stops.
 L2 Mode = 3: text line scrolls continuously.
o Submenu 3 – start/stop waiting time for scrolling:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired value:
 Dis. = 0.5s  12.0s: waiting time in seconds.
o Submenu 4 – scrolling speed:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired value:
 Run = 50  2000ms: 50ms = fast speed / 2000ms = slow speed
5. FX Return Time: while the effects are used in manual mode and the HOLD function (15) is not active, the
parameters (set with the jog wheel) return automatically to the previous setting. You can set how long it
takes to return back to the previous setting.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired FX return time: 0sec (instantly)  3.0sec (slow)
6. LOAD HOTCUES: you can choose if the saved hot cues of a track should be recalled automatically.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 2 possibilities:
o First Ask: when a track contains hot cues, the display asks if you want to load the hot cues
or not. You can reply with the YES/NO buttons (31).
o Autoload: when a track contains hot cues, they will be loaded automatically.
7. SLEEP TIME: to extend the lifetime of the laser, the unit goes automatically to sleep mode while not used
for 15 minutes (default). In this menu option you can change, the time it takes to enter sleep mode:
 Turn the TRACK knob (19) to select the desired time: "No SLEEP"  120 minutes.

8. INTENSITY: used to adapt the brightness of the VFD-display.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 4 possibilities.
o ADJ. = 1  4: 1 = low brightness, 4 = high brightness (default)
9. A.CUE Level: the auto cue function detects where the music really starts, this avoids blanks when a track
is not well indexed. You can select one of eight detection level presets:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select one of the 8 possibilities.
o ADJ. = -78dB  -36dB: the default setting = -48dB
A. MIDI CC Type: for maximum flexibility the CC-type (Control Change message) of some controls can be
adapted:
 There are 3 submenus: turn the TRACK knob (19) to select a submenu.
o Submenu 1 – Folder knob (18):
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 FOLD. = REL. : CC type = relative
 FOLD. = ABS. : CC type = absolute
 FOLD. = Note : CC type = note
o Submenu 2 – Track knob (19):
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 TRACK = REL. : CC type = relative
 TRACK = ABS. : CC type = absolute
 TRACK = Note : CC type = note
o Submenu 3 – JOG WHEEL (24):
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 WHEEL = REL. : CC type = relative
 WHEEL = Note : CC type = note
B. MIDI SETUP: for maximum flexibility a lot of other MIDI parameters can be set as well:
 There are 9 submenus: turn the TRACK knob (19) to select a submenu.
o Submenu 1 – MIDI/LINK USB connection (9) functionality:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 USB = LINK: the USB-connection (9) is used to share connected USB-
storage with another player.
 USB = MIDI: the USB-connection (9) is used to communicate MIDI-
messages with software on a computer.
o Submenu 2 – Linking of USB-storage:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 LINK = USB1: the USB-storage connected to USB1-input (10) will be shared
with another player.
 LINK = USB2: the USB-storage connected to USB2-input (8) will be shared
with another player.
o Submenu 3 – MIDI channels:
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 Chan = 1,2  15,16: select on which MIDI channels the unit player should
send.
o Submenu 4 – SHIFT button (50) functionality: you can choose how the SHIFT-button
works in MIDI-mode.
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 SHIFT = HOLD: similar to the SHIFT-key on your PC-keyboard  the MIDI-
code of a button/knob changes only when you use it while the SHIFT-button
(50) is pressed.
 SHIFT = SW. : similar to the CAPS LOCK-key on your PC-keyboard 
press the SHIFT-button (50) to turn the shift-function on: as long as the
display shows "SHIFT" the MIDI-code of most buttons/knobs changes so
they get a second (double) function.
o Submenu 5 – JOG WHEEL (24) data delay: some DJ-software is limited to the number of
MIDI events per second that can be handled, therefore you can set a delay for the JOG
WHEEL MIDI-data. (default = 0ms)
 Turn the JOG WHEEL (24) to select the desired setting:
 JOGOut = 0ms  30ms: adjustable MIDI message delay
