Replacing the Sanding Sheet
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Selecting the Sanding Sheet
Depending on the material zu be worked and the
required rate of material removal, different sand-
ing sheets are available:
for the working of all wooden materials.
for the working of wooden materials, particle
boards and metal – with increased edge resist-
ance und service life of the sanding sheet.
for the working of paint/enamel coats or primers
and fillers.
for the working of extreme hard materials such as
stone, marble, granite, ceramic or glass.
Usage of Fleece and
Polishing Cloth Pad
The usage of fleece/polishing cloth pads enables
reworking and polishing of metal and stone in
particular.
Depending on the required quality of finish, differ-
ent types of fleece and polishing cloth pads are to
be used.
Attaching a Sanding Sheet
The sanding plate is fitted with Velcro backing.
This allows for quick and simple fastening of
sanding sheets with Velcro adhesion.
Before placing on the sanding sheet, free the Vel-
cro backing of the sanding plate from dust /debris
by lightly tapping against it.
Position the sanding sheet flush on one side of
the sanding plate; attach the sanding sheet and
press against the sanding plate with a light turn-
ing motion in clockwise direction.
Sanding accessories such as fleeces /polishing
pads are fastened to the sanding plate in the
same manner.

Removing a Sanding Sheet
Grasp the sanding sheet at one of the tips and
pull off.
Replacing the Sanding Plate
Fully push the SDS slider 5 to the right ( ) and
take off the sanding plate 6 (see main figure).
To fasten the sanding plate 6, press it against the
fixture ( ) and lock it with the SDS slider ( ).
If, e. g., the front tip of the sanding sheet is worn,
the complete sanding plate can also be removed,
turned by 120°, and then attached again.
Initial Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of
the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the machine.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be con-
nected to 220 V.
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 4
forward.
To switch the machine off, press the On/Off
switch 4 to the rear.
Oscillating Rate Selection
With the knob 3, the required oscillation rate can
be selected (also while running).
The required oscillation rate is dependent on the
material and is to be determined by a practical
trial (See the applications table at the end of the
operating instructions).
Usage of Accessories
Attachment and removal of all sanding accesso-
ries is carried out in the same manner as when
replacing a sanding sheet.
Detail-sanding Attachment
(see figure
Using the detail-sanding attachment 8 enables
the sanding of hard-to-reach areas, such as win-
dow sills or thin lamellar plates of cabinets and
doors.
