Prepare the internal surface of the restoration according to manufacturer's instructions. Following are some general
recommendations:
Etchable Ceramic/Porcelain Restorations: Sandblast the internal surface with 50μm alumina at a pressure of 30
psi (0.2 MPa) and etch the restoration with hydrofluoric acid. Application of a silane primer is optional.
Metal-based, Zirconia-based, and Composite Restorations: Sandblast the internal surface with 50μm alumina
at a pressure of 60 psi (0.4 MPa) for metal-based or zirconia-based restorations, or a pressure of about 15 psi (0.1
MPa) for composite restorations.
Resin bonded prostheses (Maryland bridges): Etching of enamel surface with phosphoric acid gel etchant
is recommended prior to cementation with Maxcem Elite Chroma. Treat the bonding surface of the restoration
according to manufacturer's recommendations.
Cementation of Inlay, Onlay, Post, Crowns and Bridges

Preparation
1. Remove the provisional restoration.
2. Use the OptiClean rotary instrument or your choice of cleaning method to remove provisional cement and
residue from the preparation. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Air dry the preparation.
4. Seat the restoration to ensure proper fit. Adjust if needed and thoroughly clean the intaglio surfaces of the
restoration after adjustment.
5. Select the desired shade of Maxcem Elite Chroma.
6. Remove the syringe from the foil pouch and record the date on the syringe label. Remove the syringe cap.
Before the first use, bleed the syringe by squeezing out a small quantity of the pastes onto a pad to equalize
the base and catalyst pastes in the syringe. Secure the appropriate automix tip on the dual syringe cartridge by
turning the tip clockwise. The wide 4:1 automix tips are intended for use with the intraoral tips and root-canal
tips to dispense Maxcem Elite Chroma. Leave the used mixing tip on the syringe as a cap until the next
