8.4 Defrosting bread

You can toast frozen sliced bread directly in your toaster. The bread is first warmed slowly.
Please note that the level of browning can be slightly different to non-frozen bread.
1. Connect the power cable (9) plug to a live mains socket.
2. Set the level of browning you want on the control dial (8). You can set the browning level from 1
(light) to 7 (dark).
3. Place the frozen slice of bread in the toast slots (1).
4. Push the start lever (3) down. The indicator on the stop button (7) lights up while it is in use.
Use the stop button (7) to stop the toasting process at any time.
5. Immediately after you push the start lever (3), press the defrost button (4). The indicator on the defrost
button (4) lights up. The bread is then defrosted and toasted.
6. The toaster switches off automatically as soon as the set level of browning is reached. The toast pops
up.
7. Remove the toast from the toast slots (1).

8.5 Warming bread

You can warm toast in your toaster without browning it further.
1. Connect the power cable (9) plug to a live mains socket.
2. Place the bread in the toast slots (1).
3. Push the start lever (3) down. The indicator on the stop button (7) lights up while it is in use.
Use the stop button (7) to stop the toasting process at any time.
4. Immediately after you push the start lever (3), press the warm button (5). The indicator on the warm
button (5) lights up. The toast is then warmed.
6. The toaster switches off automatically as soon as the toast is warm. The toast pops up.
7. Remove the toast from the toast slots (1).

8.6 Using the roll holder

Warning!
Do not attempt to toast bread in the toast slots (1) while the roll holder (2) is fitted. Otherwise,
the bread or toast can get stuck or the roll holder (2) could fall, causing burns or property
damage.
