never on the cable itself.

If you notice visible damage to the toaster
or the power cable (9), switch off the
device, remove the mains plug from the
mains socket, and contact customer service
(see "Warranty information" on page 23).

Only connect the toaster to a properly
installed, easily accessible mains socket
whose mains voltage corresponds to that on
the rating plate. After connecting the device,
the mains socket must still be easily
accessible so that you can remove the mains
plug quickly in the event of an emergency.

Never immerse the toaster, the power cable
(9) or the plug in water or other liquids. If
liquid does penetrate the toaster, disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket
immediately and contact our hotline (see
"Warranty information" on page 23).
