8) As soon as the water is boiling, the appliance will switch off automatically, the
ON/OFF switch 3 clicks upwards and the light goes out .
INFORMATION
► This appliance is fitted with an overheating protector: if the appliance is
switched on accidentally, without any water in the kettle, the appliance
automatically switches itself off .
If, for example due to a non-closed lid the appliance boils dry, the appliance
switches off automatically .
In such cases first allow the appliance to cool down before using it again .

► Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket!
There is the risk of receiving an electric shock!
► Do not open any part of the housing . There are no user-serviceable elements
inside . An open housing will create the risk of a potentially fatal electrical
shock .
NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! You could
receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with
live components during operation .

► Let the appliance cool sufficiently before cleaning it . Risk of Burns!
WARNING – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials . These could attack
the upper surfaces and irreparably damage the appliance .
■ Clean the exterior surfaces and the power cable with a slightly damp cloth .
Be sure to dry the appliance well before taking it back into use . For stubborn
soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth . Ensure that there are no detergent
residues in and on the appliance before it is taken back into use .
■ Rinse the inside of the kettle out with clean water .
■ If there are any deposits in the kettle, wipe out the inside surface with a moist
cloth, or use a washing up brush or bottle brush . Then rinse the kettle out
with clean water again .
