3. Turn the bottom portion of the handle
clockwise until tight. The handle is now
installed. (See Figure 10.)
Installing the Perforator Drill
1. Always set the speed control to the
OFF position before attempting to install
any accessory.
2. Grasp the Hudson fitting. Using the thumb
and index finger, pull the fitting toward the
rear of the handpiece. Insert the perforator.
Release finger tension on fitting. Perforator
should be firmly gripped by Hudson fitting.
Installing the Skull Perforator Guard
Two O-Rings inside the Skull Perforator
Guard grip the body of the driver to effect firm
seating. Attach and remove the Guard with a
twisting motion.
WARNING: Do not use the Skull Perforator
Guard if the O-Rings are damaged or missing.
Replacement O-Rings for the guard may be
ordered through the Repair Department.
WARNING: The Skull Perforator Guard must
be fully seated on the driver body. Check to
see that the O-Rings securely hold the guard
onto the driver.
WARNING: Prior to use, be certain the
perforator turns freely in the Skull Perforator
Guard by momentarily applying power to
the driver.
CAUTION: If the Skull Perforator Guard
is difficult to attach or remove, a drop of
lubricant (catalog no. 26-5026) should be
placed on each O-Ring and spread over the
ring after each use and cleaning.
Cleaning
DO NOT immerse this equipment in any liquid.
DO NOT use a liquid chemical disinfectant.
DO NOT clean in an ultrasonic cleaner.
DO NOT immerse in a saline solution.
The above will cause instrument damage.
