Installing Modular Attachment
1. Turn the attachment lock nut counter-
clockwise (opposite of lock direction), until
approximately two screw threads are visible.
The attachment will not seat if the lock nut
is turned too far clockwise (lock direction).
(See Figure 2.)
2. Grasp the handpiece and attachment as
shown. Push the two pieces together with a
quick shoulder motion. (See Figure 3.)
3. Visually check the attachment seating. The
rear edge of the attachment should be against
the handpiece shoulder. (See Figure 4.)
4. Firmly tighten the lock nut. Do not
overtighten. (See Figure 5.)
5. Always remove attachment lock nut and
compression ring for cleaning and sterilizing.
(See Figure 6.)
6. If the compression ring becomes
misshapen and will not seal properly, bend the
ring into a small circle as shown and then seat
in ring groove. (See Figure 7.)
Installing Stabilizing Handle
1. Turn the bottom portion of the stabilizing
handle counterclockwise until the engaging
pin is below the inner surface of the holding
circle. (See Figure 8.)
2. Slide the handle over the front of the unit.
Locate the engaging pin over an indent
with the handle positioned as desired.
