1.8 Danger and warning signs

The gun cleaner carries both the identification plate of the manufacturer and also symbols (labels) which
warn against the dangers which are still present at the machine.
The signs have the following meaning:
1. Danger – presence of flammable vapours and substances.
2. It is prohibited to ignite flames or bring flames into the vicinity of the machine.
3. It is prohibited to smoke in the vicinity of the machine.
4. Read the instructions carefully before working with the machine.
5. The operator must always wear a protective mask
6. The operator must always wear protective glasses to avoid eye contact with possible spray.
7. The operator must use anti dissolvent rubber gloves to avoid skin contact with the products to
wash.
Furthermore ensure that:
1. Make sure that the hoses hang correctly in the cans.
2. Make sure that the edges of the cans do not cut in the hoses.
3. Check periodically the level of the solvents to prevent overflow.
4. The pump must run with 40-50 beats per minute. When the pump runs more than 60 times per
minute, no fluid is sprayed.

2 General security- and accident prevention measurements

Read the following instructions carefully. Wrong application can bring harm to the user, other persons,
animals and property. E.M.M. international does not accept responsibility for damage that is the result of
not obeying the following safety information. E.M.M. International also does not accept responsibility for
damage that is the result of misuse of the machine and of changes to the machines without permission of
the producer.

2.1 Clothing

The operator must suitable gloves to avoid skin contact with the water or cleaning agent.
The operator must always wear protective glasses to avoid eye contact with possible spray.
The operator must wear protective clothing to avoid skin contact water or cleaning agent.

Environment and pollution

The HR 3000 must not be used to wash or to take grease off objects which are destined to get in
touch with foodstuffs.
National and local laws and regulations as well as instructions from the producer are to be
followed concerning washing and cleaning paint polluted objects.

2.3 General safety

The spray gun cleaner has been constructed only for manual cleaning with solvent of spray guns,
spare parts and objects contaminated with paints and may be utilized only by competent and well
instructed persons with no health problems. Only persons who have read and understood this
manual may use the cleaner.
It is absolutely forbidden to bore holes (pneumatically or electrically) in the machine or to scrape
the walls with metal objects which may cause sparks.
It is absolutely forbidden to use welding apparatus or apparatus with open flame and to process
red hot materials in the cleaning area.
For cleaning only legitimate permitted solvents can be used.
It is strictly prohibited to use chlorinated or fluorcarbon holding solvents, like for example
Trichloroethylene, Methylhydrochlorate or other substances with halogenated hydrocarbon basis.
It is essential to check at the beginning of the washing process that the solvent is not corrosive.
Stop the process and replace the solvent immediately when the hoses in the gun cleaner or on
grating show signs of corrosion.
