Please refer to your online help or install media for
more information on how to install the VCI-Mana-
ger software or the operating instructions.
2. Install VCI-Manager software by double-click-
ing on "setup.exe".

3. Read and observe the attached safety in-
struction and all notes inside the downloaded
operating instructions of the MTS 6531.

Update Firmware

!
Do not unplug the MTS 6531 from the
computer or remove the USB cable from the
MTS 6531 during the update process.
1. Use the USB connecting cable supplied
(fig. 1, item 3) to connect the MTS 6531
(fig. 1, item 1) to the computer.

2. Start the VCI-Manager from the Start menu
on your computer.
? The MTS 6531 will be detected and dis-
played inside the VCI-Manager.
3. Select the MTS 6531 icon inside the VCI-Man-
ager.
? The button <Verbinden> (Connect) will be
renamed to the button <Wiederherstel-
len> (Recover).
4. Select the <Wiederherstellen> (Recover )
button to start the firmware update process.
5. Select the <Update starten> (Start update )
button to install the current firmware on the
MTS 6531.
6. Select <OK> to continue.

The update process will take about 5 minutes
to complete. Once the update process is
complete the MTS 6531 will automatically
reboot. Wait until you hear the beep from
the MTS 6531 before proceeding to use your
MTS 6531.
