1. Remove the kettle from the base and open
the lid.
2. Fill the kettle with at least 0.5 liters of
water ("Min" marking). Do not fill the kettle
with more than 1.7 liters of water ("Max"
marking).
3. Close the lid by pressing lightly until it locks
into place. The locking mechanism prevents
the lid from opening accidentally when
pouring water.
4. Place the kettle upright on the base.
5. Switch on the kettle by pressing the ON/OFF
button. The control lamp at the bottom of
the handle will turn on.
6. When the water boils, the appliance
automatically shuts off.
7. To make the water stop boiling earlier, press
the switch upward.

1. allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
2. Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance
and unplug it from the power supply.
3. Do not immerse the base, power cord or
kettle in water or other liquids or wash them
in the dishwasher.

1. To keep the appliance operating efficiently
and to prolong its service life, it should
be descaled regularly, depending on the
hardness of your water.
2. To descale the kettle, fill it no more than
half full with a solution of half water and
half household vinegar. Bring the liquid to a
boil and leave it in the kettle for a while.
3. Pour the descaling solution out of the
kettle.
4. Then fill it with fresh water and bring to a
boil. Pour this water out as well. Then rinse
the kettle at least twice with clear water.
8. Caution: The automatic shut-off function
works only if the lid is properly closed.
9. If you want to boil more water, please allow
the appliance to cool off for a few minutes.
10. Boiling water can cause scalding. therefore,
please handle the appliance with care when it
contains hot water.
11. The appliance features boil dry protection.
When operated without water or with
excessive scaling, the appliance shuts off
automatically. If this happens, please allow
the appliance to cool off briefly before filling
it with water again or descale the appliance
as described in the chapter "Descaling" on
page 13.
12. The power cord storage compartment is on
the bottom of the base. It is used for storing
the power cord or to effectively shorten the
length of the cord.
