Fill the pot (3) with a minimum of 0.5 litres of water. If you do
not pour in enough water, there is a risk of fire due to
overheating.
Keep the kettle at least 50 cm away from flammable and
combustible materials. There is a risk of fire.

6. Before initial use

Remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging and check the completeness of the
delivery. Remove the protective film. Keep the packaging material away from children and dispose
of it in an environmentally-friendly manner.

7. Initial use

Before you prepare water for consumption for the first time, you must first clean the pot (3) in order
to remove dust and any remnants of the packaging material. Proceed as follows to clean the pot:
1. Open the lid (13) by pressing the lid release button (1) and rinse the pot (3) with clear water.
2. Fill the pot (3) with drinking water up to '1.7 l MAX' on the water level gauge.
3. Close the lid (13) by pressing it down until it snaps into place. Boil the water once (see 'Boiling
the water' section) and pour it away.
Repeat steps 1–3. The pot (3) is now clean and disinfected. You can now use the pot (3).
