chimney's underpressure and the fuel's properties. Make use of our recommendations about
the easiest way to operate your Stove.
Power is adjusted by means of the primary and secondary air controller on the stove door.
With a good chimney and quality dry wood that air will do to achieve nominal power of 8kW.
The Stove's power also depends on the underpressure in the chimney (its draft). If the
underpressure in the chimney is excessively high, we would advise you to reduce it by means of
a flap installed in the flue gas pipe.
The correct use of the air controller also requires some experience. Make use of our
recommendations about the easiest way to operate your Stove.
- The position of the controller for 8 kW nominal power: put on ½ or little more
- For minimum power, close the primary air controller on ¼ do 1/3
- For keeping fire over the night put primary air control to have enough embers for continuing.
- Add fuel only as much as needed for fire maintenance.
Firing in transitional periods
When the Stove is operated in a transitional period (when outdoor temperature exceed 15° C) it
may happen that the chimney has no underpressure (no draft). In that case try to get the
required underpressure by stoking the chimney. If you fail in that attempt, we would advise you
to give up firing. While setting fire, it is useful to open the windows of the room for equalization of
indoor and outdoor air pressure.
Maintenance and cleaning of the Stove
After each heating season the Stove, the flue gas pipes and the chimney should be cleaned of
soot deposits. Neglect of regular checks and cleaning increases the risk of fire in the chimney. If
fire breaks out in the chimney, take the following steps:
External surfaces of the stove are painted with heat resistant paint. After the paint has set
completely (i.e. after the second or third firing), all such surfaces may be cleaned with a soft wet
cloth.
The paint above the firebox may fade with time. These surfaces may be repainted with a heat
resistant paint. Such paint is available in specialized stores.
Should any irregularities occur during the operation of the Stove (such as smoking), contact
your chimney sweeper or the nearest maintenance service. Any repair works on the Stove may
be done only by authorized persons and only original spare parts may be installed in it.
Warranty
The Warranty applies only if the Stove is used in accordance with these Technical Instructions.
Space heating capacity
The size of the heated space depends on the heating mode and the thermal insulation of the
space.
• do not use water to extinguish fire
• close all stove and chimney air inlets
• when the fire is put out, call your chimney sweeper to inspect the chimney
• call the dealer' maintenance service to inspect the stove
