STOVE DESCRIPTION

The stove model UPLAND is developed product of PLAMEN, based on the documentation and
samples by US firm UPLAND WOODSTOVES.
• The stove is made of high quality cast iron that is considered an ideal construction material for
this particular purpose, beautifully designed with relief-decorations.
• The main structural characteristic, from the functional point of view, is the application of a
widely recognized "S"-shaped combustion and smoke extraction system, proved to be
effective in long Scandinavian winter seasons. The logs lie on a layer of ashes and are set on
fire at the front side, from where the air flows in.
The burning of wood is similar to that of a cigarette, i.e. the flame gradually develops from the
front end towards the opposite end. Thanks to an insert placed above the fire, the exhaust
gases are directed towards the front end where they burn out in a secondary flame established
by the inflow of secondary air through the upper openings on the hearth door.
• The stove is furnished with a connection to the smokepipe, located on the cover hood.
• The heating power is set by manual, primary and secondary air flow control, by means of the
control handle located on the door.
The stove is highly reliable and grants a uniform combustion. One heating cycle is capable of
maintaining the fire at the minimum burning rate for more than 10 hours.
We call upon you to CAREFULLY READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS, which will enable you to
achieve optimum results at the very first use.
In terms of quality the Stove meets the essential requirements of En 13240 and bears the CE
mark.

smoke and air (longitudinal cross section).
