• Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
• The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play it.
• The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fi re, electric shock or personal injury.
• While water boiling, avoid contacting with steam from the spout when water is
boiling or just after it has switched off. Do not be anxious to uncover the lid.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning; allow it to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the
water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the
brewing cycles.
• Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
• If the kettle is overfi lled, boiling water may be ejected.
• The kettle is for household use only, not for outdoors.
• The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by
means of a separate system with remote control.
• Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
• If you wish to stop the kettle before the water has boiled, you must switch off the
appliance before removing the kettle from its base.
• This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
• Our warranty does not cover water kettles that malfunction resulting from failure to
descale.
• The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.

GETTING STARTED

1. Before fi rst use, rinse the inside and wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.
2. Press the button to open the lid, pour water into the kettle. It is also possible to fi ll the
kettle through the spout, without opening the lid. Make sure water level is visible in
the water level indicator, but not exceeding the MAX. mark.
3. Place the base unit on a fi rm and fl at surface. Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
Excess cord can be wound into the bottom of the base unit.
