SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read carefully and store for future use!
Warning: The safety steps and instructions in this user's manual do not include all the possible condi-
tions and situations which may arise. The user must understand that a factor that cannot be built into
any product is common sense, caution and care. These factors must therefore come from the user/s us-
ing and operating this product. We do not take responsibility for damages caused during transport, by
incorrect use, by voltage fl uctuations or a change or modifi cation of any part of the product.
To prevent the danger of a fi re occurring or injury by electric shock, basic provisions should be adhered
to when using electric products, including the following:
1. Before use read all instructions.
2. Make sure that the voltage in your power socket corresponds to the voltage on the product's label
and that the power socket is properly earthed. The power socket must be installed according to valid
safety regulations.
3. Do not use the vacuum cleaner if the power cord is damaged. Have all repairs including power
cord replacement done in an authorised service! Do not remove protective covers from the
product as there exists a danger of injury by electric shock!
4. Protect the product against direct contact with water and other liquids, do not place near containers
with liquids so that a potential injury by electric shock does not occur.
5. Do not work with the vacuum cleaner in the vertical position Never use the vacuum cleaner without
the dust bag or the motor fi lter.
6. Do not leave the vacuum cleaner with the power cord inserted in the power socket without supervi-
sion. Before carrying out maintenance pull the power cord out of the power socket.
7. Do not use the vacuum cleaner outdoors or in a wet environment. There is a danger of injury by
electric shock.
8. Do not allow children to play with the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner is not a toy. Pay extra
attention if using the vacuum cleaner near children.
9. Use only attachments and accessories authorised by the manufacturer.
10. If the vacuum cleaner is not working correctly, the vacuum cleaner was dropped (e.g. fell into water),
if it is damaged or forgotten outdoors, have it inspected at an authorised service centre.
11. When carrying the vacuum cleaner do not hold it by the power cord. Ensure that the cord is not
broken or bent over sharp objects or edges. When operating the vacuum cleaner do not run over
the power cord. Keep the cord at a suffi cient distance from sources of heat.
12. Do not pull the power plug out of the power socket by pulling on the cord. Pull the cord out of the
power socket by holding the power plug.
13. Do not touch the power cord of the vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
14. Do not place any objects into the openings of the vacuum cleaner. Do not use the vacuum cleaner if
its openings are blocked in any way. Ensure that the vacuum cleaner is clean, without various clumps
and other remaining dirty material, which could reduce the suction performance of the vacuum
cleaner.
15. Hair, loose clothing, hands and other parts of the body must not get into the suction openings or
near moving parts of the vacuum cleaner.
16. Do not vacuum sharp objects such as glass, screws, coins, nails, etc.
17. Do not vacuum hot or smouldering materials such as ambers, cigarettes or other burning objects.
18. Pay extra attention when working on stairs.
19. Do not use the handle of the dust container to carry the vacuum cleaner. When carrying the vacuum
cleaner always use the handle of the vacuum cleaner.
20. Use the vacuum cleaner only in accordance with the instructions included in this user's manual. This
vacuum cleaner is designed only for domestic use. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for dam-
ages caused by the incorrect use of this product.
