I This product is a Waterproof Extension Ring (PER-E01) for use with the PT-E series waterproof case. It is
designed to be used in combination with the "ZUIKO DIGITAL 1.4X TELECONVERTER (EC-14)" rear
converter model.
I Underwater zooming and manual focusing are not possible when this product is used.
I Unauthorized copying of this manual in part or in full, except for personal use, is prohibited. Unauthorized
reproduction is strictly prohibited.
I Olympus shall not be responsible for damages, loss of profit or any claims by third parties in case of any
damage occurring from incorrect use of this product.
IMPORTANT - Please read the following before using the product
I This product has been designed to be used underwater at depths up to 60 meters (200 ft). Handle this
product with care.
I This product must always be used in combination with the specified rear converter. Do not combine this
product with any other rear converter.
I To ensure correct and safe use of this product, always use it as described in this instruction manual.
This instruction manual uses pictographs to show how to use the product correctly and how to prevent danger to the
user and other persons as well as damage to property. These pictographs and their meanings are shown below.

G This product should be kept out of reach of infants and children to prevent accidents such as the following:
• Injury caused by the product falling from a height and striking the body from a height.
• Injury caused by the swallowing of small parts. Please consult a doctor immediately if this happens.
G This product is partly made of glass. If it is broken or smashed by being dropped or hit against a hard
object, glass splinters could cause injury. Please handle this product carefully.
G If water gets into this product during underwater use, immediately stop using it, remove the moisture from
the product and detach it from the camera and lens.
G Do not disassemble or modify this product. This may result in injury.
G The silicone O-ring grease is not edible.
G Do not leave this product where it may be exposed to high temperatures. This may lead to deterioration of
parts and components.
G This product is mounted between the PT-E series waterproof case and the PPO-E series waterproof lens
port. When mounting, be sure to follow the instructions in this manual.
G Before removing this product from the PT-E series waterproof case and PPO-E series waterproof lens port,
make sure that the case and lens port are completely dry and free of moisture.
G Never attach or detach this product in locations where there is a lot of sand, dust or dirt. If any foreign mat-
ter gets on the O-ring sections, the waterproof sealing will be compromised and water leakage may result.
G This product has been designed and manufactured for use in a water pressure equivalent to a depth of 60
meters (200 ft). Please note that diving in depths over 60 meters may cause irreparable damage and/or
may result in water leaking into this product and the camera and lens.
G When sealing this product, make sure that no foreign matter is caught on the O-rings or O-ring contact surfaces.
G Before storing this product, always remove it from the camera and lens.
G Underwater zooming and manual focus operation are not possible when this product is used,. Do not attach the zoom
gear or MF gear, provided with the separately available waterproof lens port, to the lens's zoom ring or MF ring.
