CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS

7.1 Why check for gas leaks?

Propane and butane are heavier than air. As a result, they do not float
away when leaking from the appliance. Especially on windless days,
a leak can cause the gas to collect in and around the appliance. That
accumulated gas can then ignite and explode.

7.2 When check for gas leaks?

non-use.
Also check for gas leaks if your appliance was assembled by
your dealer.
Each time you replace a gas component.
At least once a year, preferably at the beginning of the season.
