length will return to the previous valid value. A "Qty"
value of zero for any pad, Pad1-Pad4, will result in no

pads being produced for that specified length. Up to 4
different pad lengths, Pad1-Pad4, can be specified with
its own unique length "in or cm", and unique number of
pads "Qty".
6. Pressing the [ESC] key while in the Recipe # screen
will take the operator back to the Recipe Mode Setup
screen (Figure 6b).
7. Pressing the [ESC] key while in the Recipe Mode Setup
screen will return the Operator to the Recipe Setup
screen (Figure 6).
8. To produce a pad sequence in Recipe Mode screen
(Figure 6), simply press the "#" key associated with the
Recipe the operator wants to produce. Pressing the [
] key will terminate the Recipe upon the completion of
the pad in progress, regardless of whether the recipe is
complete or not. PLEASE NOTE: pressing ANY "#" key
while at the main Recipe screen (Figure 6) will result in
the production of a Recipe sequence.
9. Once a "#" key has been pressed, pads will begin being
produced automatically for the specified length and
quantities beginning with Pad1. Once all the quantity
of Pad1 pads are made, the Recipe will automatically
proceed to Pad2. Once all Pad2 pads are completed,
Pad3 pads will begin and so on.
10. To change the "next" pad delivery option, select the
[+/-] key to toggle between EDS and Auto modes. In
EDS mode, once a pad is produced, the next pad will
not be made until the existing pad is removed from
the converter chute. In Auto mode, the next pad will
push the previous pad out of the way until the recipe is
complete or the operator presses the [ESC] key.
11. To continue producing the recipe programmed, select
the [F2] key to toggle between single and continuous
modes. In Single mode, the selected recipe will once.
In Continuous mode, the selected recipe will runs over
and over or until stopped by the operator.
12. To override Recipe mode, press the foot switch while
paper is being produced.
13. Recipe mode, either single or continuous, can be
cancelled by pressing the [ESC] key once from the
main Recipe screen or by pressing the Reset button.
3.5.7 Machine Status
The Machine Status screens (Figure 8 - Figure 20)
will automatically appear and display the Status of the
converter if the converter is NOT operational. If for any
reason the converter faults, or is not operational, the cause
will be displayed verbally and pictorially here.
