3. Operating speeds may also be selected from this mode
screen by pressing the [+/-] key; this will cycle through
EN
the three operating speeds.
4. Foot Switch mode can be cancelled by pressing the
[ESC] key or pressing the Reset button.
3.5.3 Electronic Delivery System (EDS) Mode
(Key 2)
1. From the Home Screen (Figure 1), press the [2] key to
go to the EDS Mode screen.
2. Once on the EDS Mode screen (Figure 3), the pad
length (in or cm) may be adjusted by pressing the ◄┘
key (black box will start blinking), and then using the
numeric keypad to enter a pad length, followed by a
second pressing of the ◄┘ key. Also, the ▲ and ▼
keys will increment and decrement the pad length value
3. If a pad length less than the minimum length allowed is
entered, the pad length will return to the previous valid
value.
4. Enable the mode with the [F2] key next to the Start label
(Figure 3). Once pressed, the label text will change to
Stop.
5. In this mode, once enabled, pads will begin being
produced automatically for the specified length.
6. Once a pad is produced, the next pad will not be made
until the existing pad is removed from the converter
chute.
7. Pressing the [F2] key next to the Stop label will disable
the EDS mode operation upon the completion of the
pad in process.
8. To override EDS mode, press the foot switch while
paper is being produced.
9. EDS mode can also be cancelled by pressing the [ESC]
key or pressing the Reset button.
3.5.4 Preset Mode (Key 3)
1. From the Home Screen (Figure 1), press the [3] key to
go to the Preset Mode screen.
2. On the Preset Mode screen (Figure 4), the pad lengths
(in or cm) are predetermined, but may be reprogrammed
at any time. To change a preset pad length, use the
◄ and ► keys to select the preset to adjust (selected

preset will be highlighted with a black box). When the
desired preset is selected, press the ◄┘ key (black box
will start blinking), and then use the numeric keypad to
enter a pad length, followed by a second pressing of
the ◄┘ key. Also, the ▲ and ▼ keys will increment and
decrement the pad length value

3. If a pad length less than the minimum length allowed is
entered, the pad length will return to the previous valid
value.
4. In this mode, pressing one of the "#" keys will begin
producing a pad of the corresponding length. PLEASE
NOTE: pressing ANY "#" key while in the Preset mode
will result in the production of a pad. The only exception
to this is when a Preset pad length is being adjusted
AND that item has been highlighted (blinking black box)
AND selected by the ◄┘ key for adjustment. During
this operation, the "#" keys are disabled, and they
simply function as numeric values 0-9 for the sake of
numeric entry. Once the ◄┘ key is pressed a second
time to confirm the item being adjusted, the "#" keys are
once again live.
5. A special feature of this operating mode will allow up
to 5 key presses to be remembered (queued). The
operator can press up to 5 presets and they will be
produced in the same fashion as the EDS mode, that
is, the subsequent pad will not be produced until the
current pad is removed from the converter.
6. To override Preset mode, press the foot switch while
paper is being produced.
7. Preset mode can be cancelled by pressing the [ESC]
key or pressing the Reset button
Automatic mode will result in an extra
risk caused by not having a detection
of the valve.

3.5.5 Automatic Mode (Key 4)
1. From the Home Screen (Figure 1), press the [4] key to
go to the Automatic Mode screen.
2. On the Automatic Mode screen (Figure 5), the pad
length (in or cm) may be adjusted by using the ◄ and
► keys to highlight (black box) the "Length" box and
pressing the ◄┘ key (black box will start blinking),and
