1 General
1.1 Symbol used
Safety details contained in these assembly instructions, where
risks may arise for persons if they are not observed, are marked
with the following symbol:

2 Application
2.1 Field of application
Combined supply and extract air control, for deployment in
controlled residential air control, with external switching unit if
required.
2.2 Intended use
TROX HESCO comfort residential air control units are
constructed according to the latest technology and recognised
safety-related provisions. However, there may be risks to life
and limb with incorrect use, or where they are not deployed as
intended by the user or third parties, or where the equipment
and other property is impaired.
The residential air control unit of the TH-WLB-C series is only
designed for the air control and ventilation of rooms.
Any other use, or use beyond what is intended, is incorrect. The
manufacturer / supplier is not liable for any damage resulting
from this. The risk is borne by the operator alone.
For planning and execution, the following points should be
adhered to in particular:
– The equipment is not a substitute for full air-conditioning
with four thermodynamic air condition modifiers.
– Supply media other than those described in these assembly,
service and maintenance instructions, are not permissible.
– The equipment must not be used for areas where there is a
risk of explosion.

– Access to the equipment for maintenance purposes must
be ensured.
– The equipment should not be used outdoors.
All documentation must be observed in order to respect the
intended usage.
3 Safety
These assembly instructions as well as document L-09-1-11e,
include essential notes that are to be taken into account for
installation and operation.
Therefore, it is vital that these installation instructions are
read by the installer, as well as the specialist staff / operators
responsible, prior to assembly and start-up, and they must al-
ways be available at the place of deployment of the equipment
or unit.
Besides the general safety notes detailed under this main point
regarding safety, the special safety notes added under the other
main points must also be taken into account.
3.1 Risks arising from non-adherence to safety notes
Non-adherence to safety notes may also have consequences
with regard to risks to people, as well as the environment and
equipment. Non-observance of the safety notes may also lead
to the nullification of any compensation claims.
In particular, non-adherence may lead to the following risks, for
example:
– The failure of important functions of the equipment
– Threats to people from electrical and mechanical effects
3.2 Safety-conscious working
The safety notes detailed in these assembly instructions, the
existing national regulations on accident prevention and any
internal work, operating and safety provision must be observed.
3.3 Safety notes
The operator must ensure that all maintenance, inspection and
installation works are carried out by authorized and qualified
specialist staff (two people), who have gained sufficient infor-
mation via thorough study of the operating instructions.
Work may only be carried out on the equipment when it is not
running. Immediately after the completion of work, all safety
and protective equipment must be reconnected or put back in
operation.
Original replacement parts and accessories authorized by the
manufacturer ensure safety. Conversion or changes to the
equipment may only be made by agreement with the manufac-
turer.
