Locking the hand wheel with a key
(optional)
To prevent any unauthorized change of the pressure setting, the
pressure regulator hand wheel can be locked using a key.
The precision pressure regulator RGP permanently
releases the internal consumed air (2.6 l/min) to the
atmosphere. This action produces a leaking noise.
Operating the condensate drain
4
The condensate could cause damage to the compressed air
system.
In a semi-automatic condensate drain, the condensate is drained
as soon as the reservoir is in a pressure-free state. Over long
periods of operation, the condensate can exceed maximum
capacity and get into the compressed air system. This could
damage the compressed air system.
O
Regularly check the capacity of the collecting reservoir.
O
If the condensate reaches its maximum fill level, drain it
manually.
O
Do not allow the condensate to enter the environment in an
uncontrolled manner.
4
Semi-automatic condensate drain (4-I)
The semi-automatic condensate drain closes at a pressure
> 1.5 bar and opens at an operating pressure < 1.5 bar.
Setting the automatic mode:
O
Open drain screw by turning it all the way to the left.
You may leave the screw one turn deep in the thread or remove
it completely.
4
Draining condensate manually (4-III)
The condensate (b = max. capacity) can also be drained manually.
1. Turn drain screw (a) all the way to the right (closed position).
2. Turn drain screw (a) a few rotations to the left until condensate
flows out.
4
Fully automatic condensate drain (4-II)
"Normally open" configuration
In the "normally open" configuration, the condensate drain closes
at a pressure > 1.5 bar and opens at an operating pressure
< 1.5 bar. The valve opens automatically as soon as the floater
reaches the highest point and closes again when the floater
reaches the lowest point.
Setting the automatic mode:
O
Turn drain screw to right as far as it will go. You may leave the
screw one turn deep in the thread or remove it completely.
"Normally closed" configuration
The condensate drain is closed regardless of the operating pressure.
The valve opens automatically as soon as the floater reaches the
highest point and closes again when the floater reaches the lowest
point.
CAUTION
4
Draining condensate manually (4-III)
The condensate (b = max. capacity) can also be drained manually.
O
Turn drain screw (a) to left.
If the screw is screwed in completely, the automatic
drainage is blocked.

Service and Repairs

Cleaning and servicing
W
Seal all openings with suitable protective caps to prevent
detergents from penetrating the system.
W
Never use solvents or strong detergents. Only clean the
product using a slightly damp cloth. Only use water and, if
necessary, a mild detergent.
W
Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning.
W
Do not use compressed air for cleaning (blowing off) maintenance
units or maintenance devices.
Changing the filter element
System is operating under pressure.
Opening the system when it is under pressure can result in
personal injury and cause damage to the AS maintenance unit/
device.
O
Ensure that the system is pressure-free before opening the
reservoir.
Filters become contaminated with use and must be changed
regularly, at the latest after one year. This, however, is only a
recommendation, since the interval depends on the quality of the
compressed air and the amount of air throughput.
To place your order, use the material numbers listed below. You
