3.0 Safety precautions

3.1 Fire preventive measures
Any use of the fireplace may represent some danger. Therefore,
respect the following instructions:
Ensure that furniture and other combustible materials do not
get too close to the fireplace.
Let the fire die. Never extinguish it with water.
The fireplace gets warm when used and may cause burns if
touched.
Ash must be properly disposed of outdoors, or emptied where
it does not present a fire hazard.

3.2 Air supply

Warning! Please ensure that there is adequate air supply from the
outdoors to the room in which the fireplace is to be installed.
Ensure that air vents in the room where the fireplace is located
are not blocked.
An inadequate air supply could cause smoke gas to escape into
the room. This is very dangerous! Symptoms of this include smoky
smell, drowsiness, nausea and feeling ill.
Avoid using mechanical fan vents in a room with a fireplace.
This may cause negative pressure and draw poisonous gasses
into the room.

4.0 Installation

4.1 Assembling the stove - fig. 2-6
N.B. Check that the fireplace is free of any damage prior to
commencing installation.
The product is heavy! Make sure you have assistance when
erecting and installing the fireplace.
The product is delivered in a single packing case where the legs,
heat shield and door knob must be assembled.
1. Remove the cooking plate and all the separate parts inside
the stove. (Fig. 2)
2. Place the cardboard packaging on the floor and lay the stove
carefully down on its side. (Fig. 3)
3. If it is necessary to protect the walls, use the enclosed heat
shield. Use the bracket to connect the side heat shield to the
base heat shield. Fasten the bracket in the center of the base
plate with a screw. (Fig. 4)
4. Guide the flaps on the top of the side heat shield into the
groove under the top plate.
5. The flue outlet (fig. 5A) and the blanking plate (fig. 5B)
exchange positions if the smoke outlet on top of the stove is
preferred. The two screws on the flue outlet may be somewhat
difficult to release. Hold on to the nut on the inside with a
small wrench of the flue outlet to release the screws on the
outside. Ensure all possible unused flue outlets are suitably
blanked off.
6. Place the flue pipe's end outside the product's smoke outlet.
Fill any gaps between the flue pipe and smoke outlet with
suitable gasket.
7. Connect the knob (fig. 6C) to the door latch with the screw
and nut provided.
8. Place the stove into its final position and guide the flue pipe
onto the stove's chimney collar and attach it.
9. Follow the installation instructions given by the supplier of
the chimney.
