6.6 External maintenance
Painted products may, after some years of use, change colour.
The surface should be brushed of loose particles before new
paint is applied.
Enamelled products have just to be wiped with a dry cloth.
Don't use soap and water. Eventual spots can be removed with
a cleaning liquids.

Only use original spare parts.
7.1 Changing the air chamber (Fig. 7)
1. Remove both the right and the left burn plate (fig. 8) as well as
the the insulating sheets situated at the rear of the plates.
2. The steelplate situated underneath the baffle plate
(fig. 7) is called the air chamber. This is assembled with the
aid of 12 screws. Remove these screws.
3. Gently knock on the air chamber with a hammer to loosen
the cement. Remove the air chamber through the door.
4. Remove all the old cement remaining in the groove. Apply
new cement.
5. Assemble the new air chamber with the aid of new screws.
6. In case of damage, replace the insulating sheets with new
ones. Reassemble the plates.
7.2 Changing the baffle plate with the
air chamber
1. Remove both the right and the left burnplate as well as the
insulating sheets situated at the rear of the plates.
2. Unscrew only the two screws underneath the rear of the
plates. Use a wrench. Gently loosen the baffle plate with a
hammer.
3. Remove the cooking plate. Unscrew the top plate's screws
from underneath. The top has been cemented and may be
stuck. Knock gently to loosen.
4. Lift the baffle plate through the top of the stove.
5. Rinse the old cement out from the groove. Apply new
cement.
6. Removing the top plate may somewhat cause both the
front- and the rear plate, as well as the side plates, to loosen.
Disconnect the plates, clean the grooves and apply new
cement before all the plates are being replaced.
. Assemble the new baffle plate including the air chamber.
8. Reassemble the top plate.
9. In case of any damage, replace the insulating sheets situated
at the rear of the burnplates with new ones. Reassemble the
plates.
7.3 Changing the burn plates/base
plate (Fig. 8)
1. The burnplates and the base plate are loosely assembled.
To remove the burnplates tilt the side burnplates from the
bottom and pull it out through the door.
2. Tilt one of the base plate's two parts in an upward manner
at the front edge. Lift it up and pull it out through the door.
3. To replace the defected parts, repeat the same procedure in
reverse order.
4. If the part should get stuck, use a large screwdriver or similar
to flip them loose. Ensure that all the insulating sheets are
undamaged before you reassemble the parts. It may also
become necessary to replace some of the screws and nuts.

8.0 Optional equipment

9.0 Reasons for operational
problems - troubleshooting
Poor draught
Check the length of the chimney and that it complies with
national laws and regulations. Make sure that the minimum
cross section on the chimney is large enough. See also
«2.0 Technical data» and «4.5 Chimney and flue pipe» for
information.
Make sure that there is not anything preventing the smoke
gasses from escaping: Branches, trees, etc.
The fire extinguishes after a while
Make sure that the firewood is sufficiently dry.
Find out whether there is negative pressure in the house, close
mechanical fans and open a window close to the stove.
Check that the air vent is open.
Check that the flue outlet is not clogged by soot.
Unusual amount of soot accumulates on the
glass
Some soot will always stick to the glass, but the quantity depends
on:
Humidity of the fuel.
The local draught conditions.
Regulating the air vent.
Most of the soot will normally burn off when the air vent is
opened all the way and a fire is burning briskly in the fireplace.«6.1
