For hygiene reasons, pour

away the fi rst three batch-
es of boiled water from
your new kettle.
During fi rst use, after

decalcifi cation and after
having not used the
appliance for a prolonged
period of time, fi ll the
water tank completely,
heat it up and throw the
water away.

1. Clean the kettle as described
in section „Cleaning" on page
EN-19.
2. Fill the jug with fresh tap water
to the MAX (5) fill level mark
and heat it as described in
section „Heating water" on
page EN-15.
3. Pour this batch away after
heating.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 two to
three times.
